Sheboygan, WI — HSA Bank, a division of Webster Bank, N.A., today announced a donation of $5,000 to support the 17th Annual ‘There is Hope’ suicide awareness and prevention walk, with Mental Health America Lakeshore.

“We are proud to support Mental Health America Lakeshore and its efforts to increase awareness of mental health issues, specifically suicide prevention, through this community event,” said Stephanie Meyer, HSA Bank Chief Marketing Officer. “Our annual HSA Bank Health & Wealth IndexSM tells us that the need is there. One in five respondents said they were not very or not at all confident in their overall mental health. For HSA Bank, giving back to the community by supporting organizations like this is embedded into our culture and is a cornerstone of who we are as an organization.”

Scheduled to take place Sept. 10 along the shores of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan, the walk supports those who have lost a loved one to suicide, brings the community together around suicide awareness and offers those who struggle or have struggled with their mental health an opportunity to support one another and feel the support from the community.

“HSA Bank’s donation will help us continue the important work of promoting mental wellness in our community through education, empowerment and support,” said Julie Preder, Executive Director of Mental Health America Lakeshore. “The support of our corporate partners is critical to providing the resources our community deserves and needs.”
